Does Amazon Share Product Reviews Between Amazon.com & Amazon.ca?
We often hear from people who have aspirations to sell on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com. One of their concerns is building reviews for their Amazon listings in both marketplaces.
Product reviews on Amazon provide social proof and help convert visitors to sales. I don’t think anyone will dispute that. So let’s discuss how Amazon handles reviews in the early stages of a launch when you sell on both Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.
Of course, there are no hard and fast rules to any of this. Amazon is constantly testing and changing. Whatever is in their best interest to drive sales will win.
So here is what we have observed.
New Amazon Product Launches
For new product launches, Amazon typically shares ratings between both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca as shown in the example screenshots below.

Slightly More Established Amazon Products
For slightly more established Amazon products, Amazon typically starts to separate reviews by marketplace. Meaning, Amazon.ca will show Canadian reviews and Amazon.com will show US reviews.

In Summary… Amazon generally tries to support the seller with the sharing of reviews across marketplaces in the early stages of a launch and as the listing matures, the reviews start to separate by marketplace.
